Forward Edge is pleased to announce that Tyler Erwin has joined its Curriculum Integration Services Team. Tyler grew up in the Withamsville, Ohio area and has lived and worked in Cincinnati his entire life. Before joining Forward Edge, Tyler served at Norwood Middle School as both an English Language Arts teacher and a Technology Integration Specialist for the district. Tyler also has prior experience working as a special education teacher in two other local high schools.
“This is a great opportunity for me to pursue my passion for technology while continuing to serve the students, staff, and schools in my community,” said Tyler. “I’m hungry to learn and grow as an educator and help all of our clients implement educational technology to the highest degree.”
For over six years, Tyler has had the privilege of working with a diverse group of learners in a variety of school settings. He’s presented at several local education conferences, assisted Norwood’s efforts to implement technology district-wide, and helped Norwood Middle School earn the OAESA “Hall of Fame” designation in 2016 (The only middle school awarded this honor in the state).
“Technology is the future of education. So now, it’s more important than ever that educators implement classroom technologies skillfully because it will directly impact the future of our students and our schools.” stated Tyler. “I’m privileged to work shoulder to shoulder with the talented people at Forward Edge because they recognize the lasting value of effective technology integration in every classroom.”
The growing Technology and Curriculum Integration team is ready to help schools further technology integration into the classroom. Everyone on the team has had formal education training, previous teaching experience, and has come to Forward Edge from the education world. Regardless of the specifics of the project, the team aligns their practices with the most recent ISTE Standards for Coaches. With multiple certifications in Google and experience in various platforms and programs, schools are turning to the Forward Edge Technology and Curriculum Integration team for Professional Development (PD) on district PD days, on-site coaching, one-on-one coaching, Technology Integration Bootcamps, EdTech Webinars and more!
