With a focus on building relationships, you’ll work with schools to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities that provide exceptional value. Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a strong professional presence and build positive relationships within the education sector.
  • Market and sell Forward Edge’s professional learning services through traditional and non-traditional channels, including email, phone calls, conference attendance, and social media engagement. Services include:

    • Professional Development & Group Training
  • Manage and support your accounts through the subscription renewal process, finding creative ways to overcome objections, solve issues, and unlock new opportunities for account growth in the education sector.
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals that directly address customer needs, negotiating agreements that benefit both the customer and Forward Edge.
  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities in both K-12 and higher education markets.
  • Drive revenue growth and identify new business opportunities.
  • Travel to engage with current and prospective customers at conferences.
  • Proactively address and resolve customer challenges to ensure a smooth sales process.
  • Essential Qualities: Goal-driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and competitive spirit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or experience in a relevant field.
  • Exceptional networking and communication skills, enabling the development of rapport and trust with decision-makers at all levels.
  • Experience in the K-12 education sector preferred, i.e. classroom teaching experience, school administration experience, instructional coaching experience.
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales goals, with 1-3 years of experience selling education solutions to large accounts – selling within the K-12 education sector is preferred. 
  • A consultative selling approach with a demonstrated ability to analyze customer needs and develop tailored proposals that exceed expectations and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, and closing skills, coupled with a proactive approach to identifying and securing new business opportunities – the ability to hunt.
  • The ability to strategically position Forward Edge’s professional learning services to highlight their competitive advantages and address unique customer challenges.
  • Have experience with marketing tactics, with a solid understanding of tools and platforms such as Mailchimp, social media management, and Salesforce.
  • Proven leadership qualities, with the presence and authority to effectively represent Forward Edge and influence people at all levels.
  • A commitment to honesty, integrity, enthusiasm, and persistence in all professional endeavors.

Supplemental

  • Full-time, Salary
  • Pay ranges from $55,000 to $90,000 the first year based on experience
  • Bonus Pay Opportunities
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Remote work available with occasional travel to headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio and to education conferences nation-wide.
