Job Description:

  • Acts as first point of contact for the user support
  • Provides day-to-day technical support to all users
  • Builds and configures desktop computers, laptops and /or tablets
  • Assists with the maintenance of print servers
  • Implements the delivery of PC hardware peripherals and computers
  • Works with hardware vendors to quickly repair or replace broken hardware products
  • Reviews, monitors and upgrades existing PCs or installs new PCs
  • Installs and maintains software or hardware to meet user needs
  • Ensures applications delivered via the network operate effectively
  • Installs PC workstation software, patches/fixes, and upgrades
  • Identifies problems and then provides information in a variety of methods to help users troubleshoot these problems
  • Assists users via individual appointments, formal classes, or developing and making available “cheat sheet”
  • Supports the use of programs including but not limited to: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher), Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, PC terminal emulation programs, and other

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical training or Associate Degree
  • A+, Microsoft Office Cert, etc. – Desired
  • 1-3 years related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working Knowledge of or experience with:
  • Microsoft Office Suite, MS Server 2008 – 2016, Active Directory, and other related software
  • Windows 7 – 10, Office 2010, Google Doc’s and various other applications for installation and support
  • Administrative skills for Windows 7 – 10, Microsoft Office, Norton Antivirus; Ethernet, cabling, hubs, network protocols, printers, LCDs, and multimedia presentation technologies support
  • Wireless network support
  • Additional Desirable Skills:
  • Excellent customer service/problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Starting salary: will be based on experience, range is $30,000 – $35,000.
