Our core focus in technology integration coaching is to build meaningful relationships, create sustainable change in teacher practice, and create district-wide shifts in culture.

The Forward Edge Mentorship Program creates strategic relationships between instructional coaches and skilled leaders in instructional coaching to produce coaching programs that are both successful and sustainable

Our mentorship program uses ISTE’s Standards for Coaches and Google’s Certified Coaching Curriculum as a base to develop the coaching skillset necessary to achieve large-scale transformation in schools and districts. Research shows instructional coaching has a greater impact on teacher practice than other types of professional development.

We provide flexible mentorship structures to meet your program needs.

This mentorship program has helped me see parts of the picture that I am missing. My mentors have always had great insight into questions I should be asking, tasks I should be doing and have helped me navigate through my 2nd year as a coach. Without this mentorship, I don't think I would be where I am today!

Individual Transformation

1:1 Annual Mentorship (bi-weekly)

6 Session Mentorship Package

Team Transformation

Team mentorship provides the same highly personalized professional growth as a 1:1 mentorship with the benefit of alignment to team and district goals and initiatives. In our team mentorship program, the mentor works closely with the coaching program leadership to define goals, challenges, and focus areas for the team. The mentor then works 1:1 with individual coaches to provide personalized support in meeting the program goals and improving their individual coaching skill sets. Bi-monthly meetings between the mentor and the coaching team facilitate the development of the team so that the impact of the coaching program is both systemic and sustainable.

  • Individual Growth - All coaches meet monthly in a 1:1 setting with the mentor providing the same highly personalized 1:1 support of an annual monthly mentorship.
  • Aligned Growth - All coaches meet together with the mentor in a group setting bi-monthly. The mentor facilitates the growth of the coaching team as a united force to impact teaching and learning systemically.
  • Leadership Coordination - The supervisor of the coaching program meets with the coach mentor bi-monthly to establish, execute, and assess goals for the coaching team. In addition to individual support from the mentor, the mentor is uniquely positioned to align the work of individuals to the greater mission of the coaching organization.

 

My mentor is the best! I started the mentorship as a very unsure and hesitant coach who just completed year 1. After completing my second year and now in my third year, I can honestly say that without the mentorship, I would not be the coach I am now. Speaking with her every other week was something I looked forward to (still do!). I felt like my mentor was my personal cheerleader who listened to me, gave me ideas, and brought everything back to coaching and the standards.

We regularly discuss the aggregated data we collect with administrators, creating a symbiotic relationship to understand where progress is being made and where additional efforts need to be focused.

We focus so deeply on developing positive relationships with our partner schools and teachers that it is truly one of the things that sets us apart; people love our people!

Through formal coaching cycles, assisting teachers at large, creating meaningful professional learning opportunities, working with building administration, and serving on district-wide committees to advise leadership teams, we are able to support changes from the top-down, bottom-up, and everywhere in between!

Through this transformation comes a shift in district culture: we see educators embracing life-long learning, risk taking, and growth-mindsets to create real change!
