Google for Education Certified Coaching Mentorship Program

Create A Lasting Ripple Effect for Aspiring Coaches

Our core focus in technology integration coaching is to build meaningful relationships, create sustainable change in teacher practice, and create district-wide shifts in culture.

The Google Certified Coach Program empowers instructional coaches to drive impactful technology use in their schools – using their structured, year-long curriculum and research-based 5-step coaching model.

Research shows instructional coaching has a greater impact on teacher practice than other types of professional development.

As a part of the mentorship program, coaches will:

  • receive year-long one-on-one support from a veteran mentor coach
  • learn to work effectively with different personality types
  • help districts build internal capacity for coaching
  • have a long-term impact on sustainable culture change
  • learn how to effectively implement formal coaching cycles
  • align the coaching program to their district’s instructional goals and existing plans
  • receive guidance and support for submitting a Google Certified Coach portfolio

Why Forward Edge?

When a district chooses one of our coaches, they aren’t getting one coach on an island. They receive the power of our entire Curriculum & Integration team!

We regularly discuss the aggregated data we collect with administrators, creating a symbiotic relationship to understand where progress is being made and where additional efforts need to be focused.

We focus so deeply on developing positive relationships with our partner schools and teachers that it is truly one of the things that sets us apart; people love our people!

Through formal coaching cycles, assisting teachers at large, creating meaningful professional learning opportunities, working with building administration, and serving on district-wide committees to advise leadership teams, we are able to support changes from the top-down, bottom-up, and everywhere in between!

Through this transformation comes a shift in district culture: we see educators embracing life-long learning, risk taking, and growth-mindsets to create real change!

Having a technology coach has drastically enhanced our teacher capacity for innovation as they have felt supported and empowered to pursue a growth mindset. Our teachers are leveraging technology both intentionally and meaningfully to increase student choice and voice in the classroom.
