Danae's Experience:
As a Digital Integration Specialist, it’s easy for me to stay in constant motion supporting teachers, managing tech, and troubleshooting! OH. THE. TROUBLESHOOTING! Forward Edge’s Coaches Camp was exactly the reset I didn’t know I needed. It gave me the time and space to pause, reflect, and recharge.
The sessions weren’t just about new tools and strategies. They gave me room to think about what’s working in my practice, what could use a shift, and how I want to intentionally show up for teachers. Every activity was something I could see myself doing with the teachers I support. Nothing felt abstract, but it was all practical and easy to adapt.
One of the most helpful takeaways was learning how to market myself in my buildings better. Coaching is built on relationships and trust. Coaches Camp gave me new ideas for making my work more visible and approachable. That alone helped me build stronger connections and communicate more clearly with staff.
And honestly, just being around other coaches from across the country was sooo inspiring. We shared ideas, laughed, encouraged each other, and learned from experienced camp counselors who reminded us that we’re all still growing. That kind of connection is hard to come by.
