We are seeking an individual with a background in instructional or technology coaching in the K-12 sector who has excellent people skills, presentation and facilitation skills, and is energized by helping others succeed to fill the Coaching Programs Learning Facilitator role on the Forward Edge Coaching Programs team.

Summary of the Position:

The Learning Facilitator - Coaching Programs will be instrumental in fostering the growth and development of our training programs for instructional and technology coaches. This role involves planning, facilitating, and continuously enhancing training programs, overseeing the learning management system (LMS), and developing engaging learning resources.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Facilitate Learning: Lead engaging virtual training sessions and workshops for instructional and technology coaches.
  • Maintain Learning Resources: Ensure digital learning resources are up-to-date, accurate, and relevant.
  • Develop New Content: Design and create innovative training content tailored to the needs of instructional and technology coaches.
  • Community Building: Actively participate in and foster a sense of community within the EDU Coach Network.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and maintain training data to track program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • LMS Management: Oversee and maintain the Learning Management System, including user accounts, course enrollments, and reporting.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed of current trends and best practices in coaching and adult learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Teaching Experience: At least three years of teaching experience.
  • Coaching Experience: At least five years of instructional or technology coaching experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Facilitation Skills: Demonstrated experience facilitating engaging learning experiences for adult learners, with virtual facilitation experience preferred.
  • LMS Proficiency: Experience using a Learning Management System.
  • Design Skills: Familiarity with graphic design principles and tools (Canva experience is a plus).
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Instructional Design: Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Content Area Expertise: Experience supporting a range of K-12 content areas.
  • Collaboration: Experience collaborating with district-level administrators and colleagues. Strong asynchronous collaboration and communication skills.
  • Coaching Models: Familiarity with and understanding of various coaching cycle models.
  • Data-Informed Approach: Experience using data to inform coaching practices.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% (preferred but not required).
