Forward Edge Welcomes Another Addition to Technology and Curriculum Integration Team!
Forward Edge is pleased to announce that Brooke Franklin has joined its Curriculum Integration Services Team.
Brooke grew up in the Northwest region of Arkansas before attending college at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. Before joining Forward Edge, Brooke served at Glen Este Middle School and West Clermont Middle School as a Social Studies teacher.
“While in school, I developed a passion for working with children. I’m a problem solver and loved the challenge of finding creative pathways to unlock the potential of each of my students. I loved to help them thrive and technology gave me a toolkit to make that possible,” said Brooke. “I’m excited to follow that passion in a new role with Forward Edge. I look forward to working alongside the dedicated teachers, administrators, and staff members of our community schools to grow educated, talented, and passionate students.”
For the past three years, Brooke has served as an educator, instructional technology advisor, department leader, and a member of the technology leadership committee in West Clermont. She was nominated and selected to lead a group of student representatives to present at the 2017 Ohio School Boards Association’s Student Achievement Fair.
“As a teacher, it has been my mission to design lessons that not only meet Ohio’s State Learning Standards, but also teach students to work collaboratively through complex problems in a learner-centered environment. Students gained the confidence to be independent analytical thinkers who are also able to recognize and utilize the strengths of their peers to function as an effective team. Integrating different technology platforms into my instruction allowed my students to take an active role in their education and enrich their understanding of the content in the broader scope of society,” explained Brooke. “My colleagues at Forward Edge and I have a shared passion for technology integration. As I have gotten to know the members of my team I am continually inspired by their vision and enthusiasm for improving education for today’s students.”
The growing Technology and Curriculum Integration team is ready to help schools further technology integration into the classroom. Everyone on the team has had formal education training, previous teaching experience, and has come to Forward Edge from the education world. Regardless of the specifics of the project, the team aligns their practices with the most recent ISTE Standards for Coaches. With multiple certifications in Google and experience in various platforms and programs, schools are turning to the Forward Edge Technology and Curriculum Integration team for Professional Development (PD) on district PD days, on-site coaching, one-on-one coaching, Technology Integration Bootcamps, EdTech Webinars and more!
