Parent & Forward Edge Employee to Speak at TEDxDayton

Please “Shift” your attention to an event you won’t want to miss! This year’s TEDxDayton signature event on Friday afternoon, October 12th features many outstanding speakers and influential people bringing their ideas to the Dayton area community to spark conversations and meaningful discussions. One of the distinguished speakers in this year’s event is no other than Forward Edge Technology Integration Specialist, Michael Roush.

As a member of our Curriculum and Technology Integration team, Michael specializes in educational technology, assistive technology, and Universal Design for Learning. He has a great passion for learning and that shines through in his work with Forward Edge. He is a Technology Integration Specialist for area K-12 schools, and supports our partner district- Felicity Franklin Local Schools. He also is an adjunct professor of education for Wilmington College. Michael and his wife, Angie, live in rural southwestern Ohio. They have four adult children, two children in elementary school, and one grandson. Michael’s passion in education is helping every student define and achieve what the highest level of success is for them.

The now SOLD OUT event is a highly anticipated function with over 20 speakers ranging from actresses to entrepreneurs and parents, like Michael. When asked what the chance to speak at TEDxDayton meant, Michael responded with “This is such a tremendous honor, to have the opportunity to tell this story to the in-person audience, and to the world through the TEDx program.” His speech will focus on important lessons he has learned as a parent and educator from his nine-year-old daughter, Amelia, who has Autism.
