Meet Our Presenters!
Jill DuBois is a redesigned educator living in tropical Clearwater, FL. After being in the field of education for over two decades, she currently serves as a Professional Learning Specialist for Edge•U @ForwardEdgeOH. She spends her free time as an author /illustrator of children’s books and is the Optimistic Originator of Imparted Joy LLC.

Dr. Katie Ritter is the Chief Learning Officer at Forward Edge in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to becoming the CLO she served as the Director for Curriculum & Technology Integration at Forward Edge, working closely with district leaders to help them identify the needs of their staff, plan PD, and implement the PD. Katie oversees the team of 17+ instructional technology coaches, is responsible for the growth and development of the department, and also is the creator and oversees Edge•U Badges. She served on the leadership team for the EdTech Coaches Network of ISTE from 2015-2020, was a Future Ready Schools Instructional Coaches Thought Leader from 2017-2020, is a cohost of the Restart Recharge Podcast for instructional coaches, and is a Google Certified Innovator, Coach, and Trainer.

Brooke Conklin is the Assistant Director of Coaching Programs at Forward Edge. She oversees the Forward Edge coach mentorship program and organized the EDU Coach Network, a professional learning network for instructional coaches. Prior to her current role, she served as an Instructional Design Coach for schools in the Southwest Ohio area. She planned and led sessions for Google for Education’s Certified Coaching Programs webinar series last year and authored a curriculum for the program pertaining to the use of Google Classroom to promote professional learning. Her passion for professional learning has resulted in the planning and execution of multiple professional book studies and the mentorship of other instructional coaches.

Justin Thomas is an Instructional Design Coach from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a Google Certified Trainer, and Level 1 & 2 Educator. He is also the co-host of the Restart Recharge podcast, a podcast for edtech coaches, by edtech coaches. He enjoys working with teachers and students in greater Cincinnati area schools using edtech. Justin has presented at ISTE, FETC, TCEA, OETC, and MACUL. Prior to his role in coaching, Justin was a high school social studies teacher. In his spare time, he broadcasts high school sports. He has a masters of education from Xavier University.

Maggie Harris is an Instructional Design Coach at Forward Edge. Prior to this role, Maggie taught middle school English Language Arts at an urban charter school in Columbus, Ohio where she still resides. Now, she works as a coach in a Pk-12 district serving over 3,000 students. She is passionate about helping teachers create engaging and equitable lessons that leverage technology. She has presented at both OETC and ISTE. Outside of work, Maggie plays sand volleyball and soccer and enjoys baking.

Maegan Wrubel is an Instructional Design Coach at Forward Edge. Before entering her coaching role, Maegan taught 5th grade in Alexandria, Virginia. Now Maegan works in a PK-12 district outside of Cincinnati, Ohio where she works with teachers to support over 3,500 students. One of Maegan’s passions in education is differentiation and ensuring students receive an educational experience that meets their and extends their abilities. In her free time, Maegan enjoys reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants.

Lisa Kuhn is an Instructional Design Coach at Forward Edge, Lisa Kuhn is transforming lives with her down-to-earth collaborative style that engages educators in the discovery of strategies that can lead to more efficient productivity and student success, all while enjoying what they are doing. With a background in French education and Reading, she thrives on the variety and challenge of working with educators at all grade levels and in all content areas, as well as with staff and administration across the district. When not coaching, Lisa enjoys the great outdoors with her sweetie, Ray, and their dogs Drop, Scarlet, and Sophie, as well as working on small home improvement projects.

Tracee Keough is an Instructional Design Coach with Forward Edge. Tracee has been in education for 15 years spanning multiple grade levels from second grade through 8th grade along with multiple years as an instructional coach. She has a passion to help teachers and students find their meaning and purpose while engaging in lessons, and community. Outside of the education world, Tracee is a wife and mother of 4 very active kids. Tracee’s passion to build an educational world where all educators and students feel valued and heard in a safe space to express their driving purpose

Rachel Porter is an Instructional Design Coach for Forward Edge. Prior to this role, Rachel spent the bulk of her teaching career in high school Language Arts but also has experience teaching middle school and kindergarten, for more than 20 years in education. Rachel has two adult children, one teenage daughter, and a grandson. Rachel has a passion for connecting with new and veteran teachers alike, supporting them in a way that makes them feel safe to learn new things. Outside of education, you can find Rachel at various restaurants playing trivia with friends, growing her family’s online editing business, or enjoying a quiet evening at the Quinn Chapel, her historical-church home in Glendale, Ohio.
